From what I tried to gather, this happened in New Jersey. No articles as of yet. Happened little over 24 hours at the time I’m posting this.

Two cars preparing to stage for a drag race on the Highway (Route 1 and 9 from what I’m reading through comments) ended up getting hit by another behind them (No affiliation). Car had to atleast been going 80+ before impact.

Regardless, this happens wayyyy too much. Shutting highways and intersections to do circles in your car or for a single goddamn race. Most events get lucky, but when this shit happens. Geez man.
I’m a huge car guy myself, and I like too race too, but c’monnn, there’s a fucking time and place to do it. A Highway just ain’t it.

From the looks of it, definitely no way someone didn’t die. Couple comments were made who claimed they were there, said 4 in total are dead as of now, but I do not know the real number.

In general. Happens in parts of Mid west (TX, CO, etc) and the east coast (NY, NJ) a lot too.

I’m in California. Its an everyday thing here. Mind you, it’s usually late night they start doing this crap. But still they’re shutting down highways and intersections for a set amount time to do these things. (Racing, donuts,etc) before moving on to the next spot. (The people that do the donuts, they call it swinging here, usually the ones that do alotta moving, and racing is one race then leave almost everytime lol)

Accidents like this is pretty rare. I’ve never seen a video of racers getting hit from behind like that. Usually I see crashes mid race or something, and those vids are little hard to come by.

Most the posts on social I see is usually the people “swinging” their cars.
Its gets pretty ridiculous. To the point where emergency vehicles (EMT, and Fire) are blocked from getting to where they need to go and even harassed.
And almost always, someone is hit, knocked out, shot, etc, etc. I dont see much of it here on this site. Or at all really. Maybe Ill start posting more

You should never stand on the race track when someone wants to race. It's dangerous, everyone knows that
