Texas. A scary moment was caught on camera for a traffic cop, who was missed by inches when a vehicle lost control and slammed into a car he was standing right next to.

The El Paso Police Department officer was conducting a stop on Interstate 10 when, according to a department Facebook post, an alleged distracted driver failed to control their vehicle and plowed into the stopped car.

The crash was just inches from the officer, pushing the vehicle some 500 feet down the roadway.

Both the officer and the struck driver were treated for injuries, but they were expected to be OK.
