Yup, the light was green all the time. I'd say the blame falls more to the careless parent. Had the driver driven more slowly, he might have still hit the child coming out of nowhere. Had the parent been more careful, the accident would have never happened. I mean, is it really so bad to wait for half a minute? Who takes such a risk for a god damn half a minute? I always assume every driver is distracted and wont see me, so I never take the slightest risk. Even if he was not drunk or speeding, he could be otherwise distracted like talking to a phone, changing the radio channel, be sneezing or just tired and yawning. Anything could distract you for those critical two seconds. Then it takes another second to react and a couple more to bring the car to a halt. When the regulators get out of the way and we finally get the damn flying cars, accidents like these will be a thing of the past. Of course there will be a wide array of new problems but hey, one at a time  |

 damn. 2 things: #1 I would NEVER in a million years allow my child to go FIRST into traffic. I STILL TO THIS DAY grab my 13 and 16 yr old and make them walk on the INSIDE if we are walking on a public road and I STILL grab them and yank them backwards if they even TRY to walk off a curb before me or without really looking!!! My baby would be on my hip as close as can be so that I can ensure my childs safety.... and #2 IF that would have been my child and NOT at MY negligence, I would have drug him out of that car and beaten his ass within an inch of his life.... and If I couldnt, well...... thats where my brothers come in!  |
