I do not understand how everyone is mad at the driver. That woman went on the road when she wasn't supposed to. The cars had a green light ffs. I do understand the fact he was going at excesive speed, but that does not make the dumbass woman innocent.

Those few seconds were exactly 9. That is nine seconds from the time the green light turned on for the cars to the accidents. Remember there is also a pause before the red light for the pedestrian and the green light for the car. In europe you have the yellow before the green, and the yellow comes on when the red light is shining for the pedestrian. So everyone, sit down, take a watch and see what 10 seconds are like. In many cases the entire light change lasts for 15 seconds!

The VW that was first in line wanted to go, stoped and stalled all the cars behind him. That guy that hit that child should have slowed down, but cuold have also thought the car failed or something else.

He was driving like a maniac. If he wasn't speeding he would have seen the kid and would of had plenty of time to stop. The driver is definitely at fault and thankfully the little one survived

Negative, that chick/baby combo was a few people BEHIND the one that was hit. Look at the video again, right after impact you will see them in the cross walk.

I would highly doubt the poor child survived, even if so, serious brain and other damage would be almost certain...

Whilst the initial fault is definitely the mother for crossing on a red light, there is more than just a bit of fucking stupidity on the driver for overtaking a line of cars at speed when it's obvious there's a reason they are stopped. Stupidity on both sides = baby piñata.
