A Bay Area bicyclist said he is ok after a deer slammed into him during a ride near the Golden Gate Bridge over the weekend, in a crash caught on video.
Silas Patlove was riding along Alexander Avenue near Sausalito when a deer jumped over the guardrail, right into his path on Sunday.
Patlove said he landed on his back, suffered a mild concussion and memory loss around the time of the crash.
He also credited wearing a helmet for saving him from serious brain injury.
It is unclear what happened to the deer after the crash.
