Marianna Silver (20) was caught on camera smashing windows of a Greyhound bus in Washington D.C. and attempting to run over the driver multiple times with her car faced a judge Sept. 4.

Prosecutors asked the judge to look at the cell phone video that was recorded during the incident before determining whether to release 20-year-old Mariana Silver prior to trial on assault charges.

Despite Silver's attorney's request for her to be placed in a crisis center for her mental illness, the judge ordered Silver to be held without bond saying she still poses a threat to the public.

Mariana Silver's uncle, Seth Silver told:

"Schizophrenia is what she’s dealing with," he said. "She did not use proper judgment because she didn’t have medicine in her system."

Mariana Silver's family said she stopped taking her medication two weeks ago after she had a bad reaction. They also accuse the bus driver of contributing to the violent confrontation.

"He he allowed himself to be a victim by getting in front of the vehicle," said Seth Silver.

Deserved it? He was trying to keep her from leaving. She was clearly just going to run him over. He jumped to avoid being ran over.

Agree she needs help but also think she needs locked up away from the public until she's stable.
