A shocking parasailing accident on the beaches of San Andrés Islands left a couple seriously injured, after the rope holding them broke, dragging them towards the coast.

The situation became even more dangerous due to the intense gusts, which caused the parasail to move out of control, causing a sudden fall on the beach. The impact was so violent that the victims suffered serious injuries.

For now, local authorities have not issued an official report on the medical condition of the couple, but witnesses say that they received emergency care after the accident.

The incident has generated concern among tourists and residents, who are asking for greater control over these recreational activities.

For anyone with the slightest common sense (i.e. none of the participants) there may have been a clue that putting up a big sail attached by a thin rope might not be a good idea that day.

Never, never, ever go parasailing outside the country at these Third World destinations (I consider Columbia "Third World"). There it's money first, safety last.
