A construction cradle carrying workers collapsed at the Chernika residential complex construction site on Kremlevskaya Street in Ufa.

According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred around 10:40 a.m.

The façade lift collapsed from the second floor. As a result, two workers were taken to the hospital with various injuries.

The prosecutor's office has launched an investigation.

"The investigation will assess compliance with occupational health and safety legislation, as well as building codes and regulations.

If grounds exist, a decision will be made regarding prosecutorial action," the supervisory agency said in an official statement.
