Despite the fact that the neighbors warned him of the danger, he did not heed the recommendation and received a strong electric shock that left him more than stunned.
It happened in a sector of the Bello Horizonte neighborhood, near the Prosecutor's Office building, in Villeta, in the department of Cundinamarca, Colombia, where a young man who tried to leave on his motorcycle received a strong electric shock generated by a low-voltage cable.
This power line, a few moments before, had detached from a light pole, remaining at the entrance of his home.
Apparently, a turkey vulture, which is a common bird in the area and somewhat heavy, by perching on the electrical networks would have caused the detachment of a low tension cord whose body was lying on the platform.
At that time, a young man who was trying to move his motorcycle from the front, despite the fact that he was alerted by the neighbors about the presence of the rope and the danger it represented.
The man did not heed the warning and when he touched the cable with the motorcycle, he produced a short circuit, producing a strong electric shock that impacted the motorcyclist, causing some injuries.
A minor, without thinking twice, took the man away from the motorcycle and the wiring. This may have been a dangerous act, since the man may still have been connected to the cables.
“That's what I did and none of the people who were there wanted to help me or anything. I did it on my own and, obviously, it was an impulse that I had not to let my relative die there, because he is my uncle, ”added the young man who is described as a hero in the town.
The neighbors called an ambulance and he was transferred to the Salazar de Villeta hospital where he is being treated. For the moment and miraculously, the young man is out of danger.
