Usally people slow down when approaching an intersection as a lot of road users make unpredictable moves.

As an ex rider that went through a serious motorcycle crash (I was at a red light and was flat out rear ended at 40MPH) and was 100% non-contributory, I still had to fight for justice. Insurance companies want NOTHING to do with liability and payouts. Oh hell no!!!! Liberty Mutual Insurance fought me kicking and screaming. The postured and held their ground FOR THREE YEARS!!! Litigation was nothing but an invasion of my life, my previous employment, every traffic citation, previous relationships... They watched me under surveillance at my house. You ever have a bad day, just watch yourself take out the garbage with a limp and no shirt on. This poor guy will likely deal with the same shit because nobody wants to admit fault.

So, for the record:

The kid that hit me was Suhas Penukonda. I don't blame him, it was an accident.

The attorney was Kendra Therrell. She did the damage.

Liberty Mutual Insurance (SafeCo) was the insurance company.

Three days in trial, my attorney got 40%. My medical was $144,000.

I walked away with enough to pay all those that helped me avoid rock bottom for the year I was out of work.

I love motorcycles but I loathe irresponsible people, tubby mitigation attorneys and those that have no conscience.

I would have slowed down for that clusterfuck of an intersection if I had been in a Bradley. I just don't understand the mentality that gets you hospitalized for nothing.

I agree 100 percent Kelly. He also could have avoided hitting that vehicle so hard if he would have noticed the vehicle starting to cross from the right, his reaction was slow and fucked up his life. I feel bad for him because I also ride a bike... sadly he was way too confident riding on two`s.
