JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Newly released video shows the moment an out-of-control Coca-Cola delivery truck crashed into a brick building in Florida.

The July 21 crash in Jacksonville was captured by cameras mounted on a transit bus involved in the accident.

The footage shows the soda truck sideswiping the bus before slamming into a decades-old seafood business.

Large chunks of the building's brick facade are seen crashing down onto the truck as bus passengers scream in horror.

Five people, including two inside the building and three on the bus, were taken to hospital for minor injuries, authorities said.

The truck driver, Calvin Hollis, was unharmed.

A witness told local: "I was amazed the way the truck looked to see him get out of it out alive.

"Mr Hollis reportedly told authorities he lost control of the delivery truck when a wasp flew into the cab.

Police cited Mr Hollis with reckless driving.

The building was demolished after city officials deemed it unsafe.

Proper Wasp-In-Vehicle Response Procedure:
1) Engage your emergency flashers as you depress the clutch and apply the brakes while checking your mirrors for nearby vehicles/obstacles;
2) If clear, immediately pull over to the side of the road and stop;
3) Turn off ignition;
4) Open door and run screaming and flailing your arms about your head and torso;
5) Re-grow your gonads and return to the truck;
6) Get medieval on that motherfucking wasp with a shoe or rolled-up magazine or similar.
