Re: Checking the Oil at the Gas Pump
A full service gas station?!? I used to work at one in the 70’s. Windshield washing, oil check, tire pressure only on request. One old lady who was a customer since the day of hand crank starters got her ashtrays emptied until one time the attendant (not me) dumped hot ashes into the trash can right near the pumps. Funt. |

Re: Checking the Oil at the Gas Pump
He engaged the starter from under the hood, and forgot to take the car out of gear. I guess he hot wired the starter in hopes of fiddling with some other device under the hood as it was turning over. Ends up there was no need for fiddling. |
