Car Violently Crashes into a Tree, Staten Island
A violent crash Monday in Randall Manor, Staten Island may cost a 20-year-old his legs, while the 19-year-old driver is being treated for a fractured sternum. The passenger was listed in critical but stable condition Tuesday at Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton, after he was ejected from a gold sedan in a violent crash reported just before 12:50 p.m. A source with knowledge of the investigation described the passenger as "very lucky" to be alive after suffering "significant injuries to his lower extremities." Preliminary information released by the police on Monday indicated the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it slammed into the tree. Surveillance footage obtained by the Advance shows the driver lose control while traveling westbound on Henderson, spin out and swerve into a tree near Lois Place. No charges have been filed, and an investigation remains ongoing, an NYPD spokesman said Tuesday. A blood test for the driver "technically" should be mandatory given the nature of the crash, the spokesman said. |

That tree took a big hit (talk about some hard wood) and took out that car like that. Wow! They are both lucky to be alive. with the injuries they sustain they may wish for death. Thanks For the post!
