Car Tries to Climb Stairs at Heavenly Ladder at Tianmen Mountain
Yesterday a yellow Chinese Chery Fengyun X3L electric suv experienced an accident while climbing the scenic area's Heavenly Ladder at Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province. The vehicle rolled backward, crashing through multiple sections of guardrails and steps. It is understood that the Heavenly Ladder is nearly 300 meters long with a vertical drop of approximately 150 meters. The average slope of the steps is 45°, with some sections exceeding 60°. The steps are slippery and narrow, making the challenge extremely difficult. This is not the first time a similar challenge has been undertaken. Back in 2018, a Land Rover completed the "99 bends, 999 steps" challenge at Tianmen Mountain, setting a record of 9 minutes and 51 seconds, becoming the first vehicle to successfully climb to the Tianmen Cave. |

Why would they even allow this? This is just stupid. I was hoping it was going to end with at least some broken bones.
