The car occupants were reportedly fleeing from attackers following a dispute in the village of Ratanpur Kirkich. While escaping at high speed, they struck the police motorcycle.

The collision was severe enough that the Cobra police bike was completely wrecked, and the car eventually crashed into a nearby furniture shop after hitting pedestrians.

Constable Jatin K. was critically injured and was initially taken to Saifai Medical College. Due to his life-threatening condition, he has been referred to Noida for advanced treatment. His partner on the bike got slightly injured just as a woman and her daughter who went shopping.

Police have detained two young men who were in the car being Naman and Chhotu C.
