Re: Car Pulls in Front of Motorcycle

lane splitting is fine and one of the reasons we ride bikes....but as it's 1000 times more unpredictable than regular riding you gotta be 1000 times more aware and careful....the speed builds so quickly on a bike and before you know it you're doing 40mph between cars....it still takes a fair bit to stop from 40

Re: Car Pulls in Front of Motorcycle

He was going a little faster than he should have been, but the car also did a quick improper lane change (no signal).
A little faster? He was going entirely too fast for the traffic conditions. If he hadn't been spending he would have been able to avoid the car.

I say "a little faster than he should have" because traffic may have been congested and he may have been going the actual speed limit, but the cars were not. But, yes...it was indeed too fast for the traffic conditions.

However...speeding or not, he probably still wouldn't have been able to stop. Bikes are known for their speed, not their braking abilities.

FUCK OFF, lane splitting is fine Where'd you get ur license in the Cracker Jack Box

That's the reason you ride - to lane split and be ignorant and rude to the others on the road - putting them at risk and inconveniencing them with your selfishness

I ride my bikes for what they are made for...only when the road is clear - so if I fuck up, nobody gets hurt but me. I've only gone 240km/hr on my one bike.....at 6am on an empty highway with no 1 around.

Re: Car Pulls in Front of Motorcycle

we live in a country where lane splitting is allowed.... one of the reasons we ride bikes is so we don't have to sit in traffic, so yeah, that's one of the reasons..

...it's actually all the car crivers who inconvenience everyone else on the road...especially those with only one person per car.... that shit should be illegal, especially during peak hours.

I'll stick with my sports car over a bike. I'm covered during shitty weather, I have A/C in the summer and heat in the winter, and if we collide for any reason...I'll be fine, whereas you have a very good chance of ending up here on DR. There's a million reasons people don't ride bikes.

the rain is the only valid reason you've given for driving a car....

we don't need AC, we have the wind...and as you can see by the thousands of car accident videos on DR cars are statistically no safer than bikes....unless the bike hits a car..

but it's all good... i wouldn't want to ride a bike in the USA either, not as transport....douchebag truck drivers, no lane splitting....sort of defeats the purpose really.

You can't be serious.

Yes, and I don't need the wind in the middle of February.

It doesn't matter what bike, or what country...bikes have never and will never be safer than an automobile. Hitting ANYTHING on a bike has a much greater chance of killing you.

There's no lane splitting in the USA? Good. If one of these assholes hit and screwed up my car because he was late for his hair appointment, he'd be lucky if I didn't beat his dumb ass with a tire iron.
