Damage: Broken windshield, a hole in the hood, scratches on the bumper, right fender, right mirror.

When he got out of the car he saw a man laying unconscious on the road and realized it was the driver of the horse.
The horse got up and ran away.

He called for an ambulance and police but after 5 minutes the man stood up and said he only remembered riding the horse and nothing more.

10 minutes later the police arrived and they gave the horse rider a breathalizer test.
Outcome was that the rider was drunk.

15 minutes later a woman arrived telling she was his wife and the horse came home a while ago without her husband and not even limping.

Hitting a horse sucks, not only do you hurt or kill the animal but you also hurt or kill your car.

Horse probably had to be put to sleep, quite sure an impact like that would break it's back legs or worse.

Very glad the horse survived. I think the fact that it was not a spindly-legged thoroughbred or standardbred helped. Probably a quarterhorse or something beefier.
