120km/h is pretty "good" speed to hit animal that big.

120km/h is pretty "good" speed to hit animal that big.
I had to look it up, but 120 km/h is about 75 mph; to me, it seemed like he was going about 65 mph or 104 km/h max.

On that note, I think he had enough time to avoid the crash if he had decided to - it looked like he was trying to pass that beast of an elk up...

It could have been alot worse for the driver... he didn't panic and swerve off the road to avoid hitting it. I've seen some pretty bad accidents from people trying to avoid hitting a rodent but end up losing control and rolling their vehicles.
