Car Hit by Falling Brick Wall from Building Under Construction
Brazil. A silver Volkswagen were a young couple, Vicente A. (the driver) and his girlfriend, Thaís C. were driving near an intersection during an intense storm with heavy rain and hail. They were actively searching for a safe spot to shelter from the hail when a brick wall suddenly detached from the upper floors of a building under construction and slammed onto their vehicle. The vehicle sustained catastrophic material damage as bricks smashed through the roof and landed inside the passenger cabin. The occupants were momentarily trapped inside but were quickly assisted by construction workers and bystanders. Despite the violent nature of the impact, both occupants survived what locals are calling a miracle. They suffered only minor injuries. Vicente suffered a cut to his forehead and experienced dizziness from hitting his head. |
