This afternoon a motorist suddenly accelerated from about 50 km/h to more than 70 km/h to overtake a truck in the same direction with poor visibility due to dust from a garbage truck.

Just a few seconds later, the passenger car crashed head-on into the back of a garbage truck that was cleaning in the lane next to the median strip.

The strong collision caused the bus driver to break his leg and had to be taken to the emergency room. The three passengers on the bus suffered no serious injuries.

At the scene, the front of the bus was deformed and the windshield was completely broken. The incident caused a traffic jam of nearly 2 km.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
