Bus Runs Over Woman Crouching at Outside Market Area
For unknown reasons, a bus collided with a woman sitting with her back to the passenger bus in the market yard. As a result, she was run over, seriously injured, and taken to the emergency room.  |

We've seen similar vids before. Why do these people sit/crouch in locations where traffic is, or is likely to be, moving around? Seems dumb to me.

The driver was more than far enough away to see the woman regardless of how or where she was sitting. Pure negligence as a bus driver.   |

True. I don't think you can completely blame the driver. This is exactly contributory negligence - the negligence of the woman, by sitting/crouching in a vehicular traffic area, contributed to her getting run over. If she hadn't done that stupid thing, she would not be an organic pizza right now. (The bus wasn't mounting any footpaths, etc). Its not a question of either party being 100% at fault. If she was a pedestrian standing on a footpath and had been hit by the bus she would not have been negligent in any way and it would have been totally the bus driver's fault. She might have been just as dead, of course ... |
