Bus Runs Over Female Student Crossing the Road
Mexico, Until Monday afternoon, the state of health of the run over woman is unknown. The driver wasn't detained after he fled. Some people say that it has the protection of the authorities of the Ministry of Mobility and Transportation and it is mentioned that there are economic interests within the bus cooperative organization.

Okay, her distraction is explained by 1. not expecting bus to turn, 2. a common convention that a vehicle (especially a bus) will yield to a pedestrian in a mixed use alleyway, and/or 3. cell phone distraction. But how the heck do you explain the driver's distraction! She was right in front of the driver's face when the bus hit her.
