I rode a bus in China for about 5 hours, from Shanghai to where our tour boat was located. It was pouring rain, in the empty open countryside, with no streetlights, and about every 2 miles we passed a flatbed trailer loaded with huge logs, (Like 2 ft in diameter or larger. They were HUGE!) Some were pulled by laboring trucks, some by oxen. None of them moved faster than 5 miles an hour. I was really nervous the whole time. If we had hit one of those, a lot of people on board would have been killed for certain. That is the most nerve-wracking trip I have ever had in a lifetime of travel.
