Bunch of Cyclists Tumbling Down During Race
Under stormy skies, stage 5 of the French stage race was neutralised as many members of the peloton fell victim to a slippery crash. With 21km of stage 5 to ride on Thursday afternoon, the Critérium du Dauphiné peloton suffered a mass crash that seemed to take everybody by surprise. Tackling a gentle and straight descent, riders began crashing left, right and centre, as the slick tarmac turned into a hazard under torrential rain. Riders were pictured sliding along the road as they hit the deck, some travelling tens of metres and some suffering more consequential falls than others. It soon became apparent that most of the peloton had been impacted and racing was brought to a halt by the organisers. One fractured his collarbone and another suffered a small fracture in his hip. Others were diagnosed with concussions, spine and head trauma, head injury and one suffered from skin abrasions and a hip contusion. |

When I was very young, I was in awe of the guys who cycled in the "Tour de France". But now I understand that I have no problem riding down a hill in the rain, without falling down, so I judge them as whiny losers. Really, if you can't keep your bicycle upright and stay on it successfully, you SHOULDN'T be racing! Or even RIDING!  |

Those fucking bicyclists don’t belong in the road. They want the rights of a car without the responsibility of obeying traffic lights and they only go 15 mph. I don’t give those assholes an inch. They can go straight to hell.
