Brisbane Motorcyclist Clips Car and Narrowly Misses Pedestrians

Quote:
Shocking video has been released of the moment a Brisbane motorbike rider smashed into a passing car at an intersection at high-speed and barely missed a group of pedestrians trying to cross the road.

The 23-year-old rider, who was travelling southbound along Gympie Road in Lutwyche at 3.20pm on June 18, was filmed on CCTV crashing into the car and skidding for several metres.

Moments later, another motorbike rider flies through the intersection onto Lutwyche Road and manages to weave through the traffic, almost suffering the same fate.

Police have released the video in the hope witnesses to the crash will come forward, in particular anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident or who may have been on the pedestrian crossing at the time.

The 23-year-old motorcycle rider involved in the crash remains in the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition with serious leg injuries.

I love how the two front pedestrians slowly back up in sync.

I came to report this but you're on the ball kellyhound

Happened last week, all I can say is those kids are lucky as hell, a split second ahead in time during their day and they'd be split in half all over that road, missed literally by inches. Negligence and ignorance don't do well on bikes in city traffic
