That mist you see is live steam. It INSTANTLY transfers ALL of it's heat to whatever it touches. All you have to do, is be around it to be burned. I bet half the people running have already had patches of skin start falling off. It is like throwing boiling water on yourself. A steam death is about as horrible a death as you can imagine.
