Re: Biker Hits Car at Intersection in Newark
Investigation? Its clear two irresponsible people caused that. one do not slow down on intersections and one turns without making sure the coast is clear. If it is about who has the right of way, we will not know in the near future. But if it is about the joy of living, both of them did wrong. no matter who is right or wrong, if you are dead or caused death of someone, there's no turning back from it. it will not make you an inferior person if you take your time driving as long as you make it safe for yourself and all those around you. |

Re: Biker Hits Car at Intersection in Newark
Judging by the walk signal, the lane was green in both directions, so - stop me if you've heard this before - the car violated the motorcyclist's right-of-way by making the left hand turn. I have investigated so many of these I have lost count. To be fair, the motorcyclist appeared to be traveling at a speed above the normal urban posted (20-25 mph) and had zero reaction other than a slight drift to the right (probably not a true reaction). His passive communication could have been better as well (bright colored clothing/helmet) to increase his conspicuity. |

"Police say the cause of the crash is under investigation" Yes, it's quite a mystery, I'll have to ask my friend Sherlock Holmes to watch the video a couple more times with me. |
