Re: Biker Collides with Car and Falls Off Bridge
Think they are both responsible. The driver didn't want the motorcycle to be able to pass him and was driving in the center. No blinker on to indicate they were going into the right lane. The motorcyclist should have slowed down since the idiot driving that van was driving ridiculously to begin with.

Re: Biker Collides with Car and Falls Off Bridge
This Time Never Missed In the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a car driver hand held his phone to film traffic in front of him. It’s as if he felt some idiot is gonna make it worth his while. And that’s exactly what happened. While on Ponte da Joatinga (Joatinga Bridge), a motorcyclist got pushed by a car changing lanes, which made the biker lose control, tap the guardrail and fall over it and off the bridge. The biker was identified as 32 year old Pedro Henrique Pires da Silva. He fell about 12 meters on a decommissioned construction site. He was taken to the Lourenço Jorge Hospital in Barra da Tijuca, where he underwent surgery and was listed to be in serious condition. |

Re: Biker Collides with Car and Falls Off Bridge
I think we've had this one before. Who was actually to blame here? I think it was the cyclist for tailgating that van. But the van looked pretty close to the others, too. |

Re: Biker Collides with Car and Falls Off Bridge
Both contributed to the accident, as the biker should've maintained more distance in between him and the car he wanted to pass, you have to drive defensively, but I personally think it was the vans fault. Tailgating, not looking before moving over, or worse, knowing he was there and still doing that, driving in the middle of the road, and not signaling before changing the lanes. The biker was trying to get around him and was not driving like an ass the way the van was. Just my opinion...doesn't mean it's a correct opinion |
