A Florida high school basketball player, identified by a local newspaper as Mason Holland, attacked a referee then threw him to the ground after the official assessed a technical foul during a Monday night contest.

The game ended with Holland's team, Arcadia Desoto, forfeiting to Port Charlotte High School.

The player has reportedly been removed from the team and may be facing expulsion as well as legal ramifications.
