Arsonist Sets Himself Alight During Botched Arson Attack in Melbourne
In the early hours of Thursday, September 3, two men were seriously injured in a botched arson attack on The Boss Tobacconist on High Street in Melton, in Melbourne’s outer west. Between 2:50 and 2:53 a.m., a white pickup truck rammed through the shop’s roller door. Two hooded men exited the vehicle carrying jerry cans, poured accelerant inside, and set the premises alight. Both men then caught fire. CCTV captured one of the men becoming fully engulfed. A 23-year-old man suffered catastrophic burns. Witnesses described him screaming on the ground and pulling off his burning clothes. Large areas of skin were missing from his legs and hands. He fell out of the fleeing pickup truck while still on fire and was left behind. A Good Samaritan found him nearby, and he was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital in critical condition. He is currently fighting for his life. Police described the injuries as catastrophic. |

Made a total arson of himself. Can't imagine wanting to survive something like that, the Good Samaritan should've either walked on or finished the job. The latter feels more merciful, here.

People need to fool around with fire and petrol more in their youth if they want to set fire to things with it professionally.
