Mexico. Chimalhuacán. An ambulance was traveling at high speed in the exclusive bus lane and reports indicated the vehicle was not responding to an emergency but was performing a routine patient transfer, meaning it was not authorized to use that lane.

Zoe, a 16 year old teenager on her bicycle was hit and was dragged several meters by the vehicle.

Because the involved ambulance was unable to provide aid, she was transported to the Chimalhuacán General Hospital by a fire department unit. She is currently reported to be in stable condition.

The driver was arrested and taken to the Public Ministry to determine legal responsibility.

Chimalhuacán municipal authorities stated that the DIF (National System for Integral Family Development) will cover all medical expenses.

Ambulancy is the form of magic NORMALLY employed by responding EMTs trying to save someone, with their palliative chants, poultices and unguents.

THIS might be 'alanic', i.e. something Alanis Morissette thinks is ironic but is actually just coincidence, poor timing, etc.
