A 31-year-old man suffered leg injuries when a pendulum ride struck him at the Facilpa fair in Lençóis Paulista, São Paulo state, Brazil, on the night of April 28, 2024. He had entered the ride's operating area to help a dog that had wandered onto the boarding platform.

Event staff and SAMU emergency responders provided first aid before he was taken to a hospital in the region. He underwent surgery and was reported to be stable and out of danger. Fair organizers confirmed that the accident occurred in a restricted-access area and said the event and amusement park held the required operating documents, including a fire safety certificate.
