Re: 8 Year-old Boy in Coma After Being Struck by a Car
I have seen so many vids of boys hit by cars. Why they don't look when they cross the street I just don't understand it. It almost like they are doing it on purpose |

Re: 8 Year-old Boy in Coma After Being Struck by a Car
I know it's so sad how common they are...you vave to teach em young. It took many, many times of walking the dog with my 5 year old before I got him to actually look both ways when crossing the street and he still sometimes has to be reminded. They basically have the attention span of a goldfish. My son however doesn't have to or try to cross 4-lane roads that look like a small highway...this kid would be very dead if he hadn't hit the side of that vehicle, thanks to the poor driver swerving to the right.

Re: 8 Year-old Boy in Coma After Being Struck by a Car
I learned fast to stop at the kerb and look both ways. My dad made sure of that. Iron grip on my hand with his left hand. If my foot took half a step into the road before I had looked both ways and checked for traffic, his right hand would come sailing around in a nice arc and slap me straight in the face. Bam. Four years old, and I knew the road rules there and then.
