They don't have seatbelts on buses because in case of a catastrophic accident, like fire, or the bus goes underwater, or the driver is dead, etc. the kids won't be able to undo themselves, especially if they're unconscious, or incapacitated somehow. We are supposed to be such perfect drivers that stuff like this vid ain't going to happen. They do give us safety boxcutters that are attached to the dash to cut ourselves loose.

thats pretty much a lose-lose situation and it makes no sense. So lets say a bus goes underwater, what kid will know how to swim out of the bus? What kid knows how to exit a burning bus? I mean, if every kid were Clark Kent from Man of Steel.. this is just ridiculous.

i remember doing bus saftey in school. we hard to learn how to use the emergency exits in all situations.
