8 Students Injured when LED Lights Pilar Falls on Them During Stage Performance
On February 13, during the annual day celebrations at Max Muller High School in Basaveshwaranagar, an iron pillar fitted with LED lights came crashing down on stage while the school children were performing a dance. According to reports, eight people were injured during the incident. The police has booked the school management and an event organiser for the mishap. Reportedly, only two pillars were installed for support instead of the mandatory four. “We have summoned the management and the organiser for questioning and necessary action will be taken against them,” a senior police officer was quoted as saying. |

“We have summoned the management and the organiser for questioning and necessary action will be taken against them,” Criminal negligence is a daily habit in India. If they died, their families would get a small compensation. Things only kick into high gear when a foreign company can be accused, as in the Union Carbide Bhopal disaster, where Indian operators ran away from the disaster they had caused. |
