76 Year Old Korean Driver Crashes into a City Hall Lobby
An old-age pensioner was caught on CCTV crashing her car into a city hall and then driving through the lobby. The hilarious footage was captured in Busan, South Korea, and was the result of brake failure, according to the 76 year-old driver. The video shows the woman pulling up to a barrier to exit a car park. As the barrier lifts into the air she puts her car into gear and begins moving forward, but fails to follow the road around to the right. Instead she heads straight for the city hall across the street, and picks up speed while doing so - it appears at this point that the car is not within her control. The vehicle crashes into the building - colliding with a flower bed outside the front - before coming to a momentary stop. Strangely the car continues to accelerate and suddenly ploughs through the glass doors and into the lobby. Dashcam footage shows people clambering to get out of the way as the car accelerates through the building - debris falls from every direction. The car continues to travel through the lobby before eventually slamming into an office at the end of the large room. The impact of the crash sends paperwork and a computer flying into the air before the vehicle finally comes to a complete stop. |

Re: 76 Year Old Korean Driver Crashes into a City Hall Lobby
Whatever it was, it was definitely not brake failure. I read about the jammed throttle cases a couple years back if I remember right. Imagine going down a motorway and finding out you can't stop the car. Terrifying.
