Peru. At least six people got injured. The incident occurred in front of a Shopping Center when a group of pedestrians were run over when they were trying to cross the avenue.

According to witnesses, the accident occurred when the traffic light was red for vehicles and people decided to cross the avenue, but in the middle of the avenue they felt confused because a Traffic Police agent gave the order to the drivers.

At that moment, the driver of a green vehicle, who was traveling with his pet ended up running over five people and then collided with two other units.

The middle of that intersection was like a death trap. If I had been there, you'd better believe that I'd have my eyes locked on oncoming traffic. People act like 100% of people obey 100% of traffic laws 100% of the time.

Nah, nothing you can do in places like that, but pray. I’ve been in plenty of third world countries where it’s even worse than this video. You keep your eyes open, but ultimately, if an accident is going to happen, then, many times, there is almost no where to escape to without running into traffic. Sucks and it scared me to death daily, but that’s just how some places are.

I think this is a big reason people from there poor countries sometimes do things that seem to go against common sense. They become too accustomed to the danger and get caught lacking one day.
