70 Kilo Garage Door Knocks Down Elderly Couple Walking Down the Street
An elderly couple walked down a street in the center of Rio de Janeiro, last Sunday morning (11), when the couple was hit by a garage door, made of galvanized steel, that was knocked down by a car that was parked inside. The door weighs about 70 kilos. A security camera recorded the time of the accident, in which the elderly, who walked hand in hand, are surprised by the rolling car knocking the garage door over them. The woman managed to get up on her own and asked for help. Neighbors approached to help. The 74-year-old man suffered a collarbone injury. The ambulance took him to the Hospital where he was treated and discharged later on. The owner of the vehicle said he did apply the parking brake when he went into the house. Then he just heard the noise of the garage door and ran out to help the victims. |
