The victim was fortunate (if you can call it that) that they were hit by a high ground-clearance vehicle like that SUV. They got spit out rather quickly as a result. I wonder if they'd have gone up and over the bonnet if it'd been a car.  |

Brake failure, and they stop in the middle of the road? I'm guessing it's more than just the brakes that failed. On a related note, got my car serviced yesterday, and the mechanic said he was impressed with the condition of my brakes for the distance the car had done. I asked him how often he saw cars with completely buggered brakes. He said about one out of every five. Ffffffuuuuuuu............. |
