40 Injured - One Dead in Bus Accident in Sri Lanka
40 people were injured and one killed when a bus veered off the road in Ambalama, Lower Kadugannawa. The Police Media Unit noted that the accident occurred when a bus transporting members of the Addalachchanai teaching school had veered off road at around 9.15 pm today (March 05). The injured casualties including the driver of the bus have all been admitted to the Mawanella & Kandy hospital. The 32-year-old driver’s assistant had succumbed to his injuries upon admittance to the Kandy Hospital. The police state that the accident would have been caused due to uncontrollable speed. |
