The incident occurred around noon on the street Herrengasse, when a 26-year-old Austrian, from Bosnian origin, in his SUV reached a speed of 100 km / h and knocked down a cyclist first before sending his car into a crowd of bystanders.

After the collision, he got out of the car and tried to stab bystanders but was quickly caught by the police.

As a result, 3 people, including a 4 year old boy, died on the spot, another 34 were injured, two of them are still in intensive care.
