2 Killed, 7 Injured when Bus Crashes into Toll Plaza
Delhi, During a toll plaza accident 2 people were killed and injured six including UP power minister Shrikant Sharma's escort cop. The bus crushing three toll employees and a teenager under its wheel. Two (23 and 13 yo)died on the spot. The bus further rammed into a police escort car, grievously injuring a constable, who was retrieved from the mangled car with the help of a crane. It’s still not clear, as to why the bus broke the toll barrier but faulty brakes can't be ruled out. |

Re: 2 Killed, 7 Injured when Bus Crashes into Toll Plaza
Indians are criminally negligent by nature. Even in the USA they act like that. A good friend of mine since childhood is first generation US citizen, his parents immigrated from Delhi. He used to drive around on bald tires, is dad said "I thought you were going to have an accident because of those tires". Back to India, 150K people die on their roads each year, they have more people but I would guess less vehicle miles per person than in the first world. Life is cheap in India, when there is a train wreck (all the time), the families of the dead get the equivalent of something like $5000 or $7000 USD. So, if you have a trucking company, it might be better to not get new brakes and take the risk of 5000 USD liability...
