2 Guys Trying to Catch a Parrot on a Powerline Turn into Sparky Feet
In Antalya, Turkey, two young people were caught in a current while trying to catch a parrot, which was resting on an electric wire. They arrived with an aluminum rod, attached to it a net. While the moments when the current coming out of the feet of the young people and they collapsed on the ground were reflected on the security camera. A man, who saw the incident, said, "Everything happened at once, a fire broke out from above, then came out from under the guy's feet. We were shocked when we saw it, we froze." The incident occurred on the pavement in the Kepez district Sütçüler District at noon in March. According to the information obtained, 2 friends came to the region to catch the parrot. The young people who tried to take the bird off the wire luring it with a female parrot for a while were unsuccessful and they decided to catch it with a net. They extended the nearly 7-meter-long aluminum rod with a net at the end towards the bird. Before the net even got close to the wire, the rod was charged with electricity. The fireball formed on the pole descended from the stick in the hands of the young people to the pavement. The young people, who had a fire coming out from under their feet, collapsed to the pavement. Citizens who saw the incident immediately reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. They were taken to the hospital by the medical teams. While Y.K was discharged from the Hospital soon after, H.C. was being held for observation. Another witness told: The young people came with a cage in their hands. They missed their bird, the female bird was in their hands. It was a cockatiel. The female bird and the other bird could not get it off the wire. The other friend came with the stick and net. They tried to reach the wire from here. He tried to help the other friend while he was lifting it, but was suddenly electrocuted when holding the pole. They both collapsed to the ground. We called the ambulance. One of them is conscious, the other was in bad condition. In a short time, the ambulance came and they immediately took him to the hospital. One of his feet had burst. "We couldn't understand it. Everything happened so fast. |
