2 Dead when Bus Rear-ends a 56 Cars Pile-up Accident Scene
Changzhou, China, 56 vehicles (2 trucks, 3 buses) were involved in a multi vehicle accident on the highway. 21 people got trapped in their vehicles but rescued by the fire dept while 2 others succumbed to their injuries on the spot. It's not known yet what caused the huge pile-up but i guess it was driving too fast in foggy conditions  |

Every time I drive in low visibility conditions my natural reaction is to speed up in hopes that if I come into a pile up I just blast through it.  |

I always hope that by driving really fast, I can not only blast through the crash scene, but also light off the tankers that are lying wrecked, thus providing extra illumination to the people behind me. I'm just thoughtful that way........ |

Yes, it is wet and foggy outside. Large vehicles: a) can't stop on a dime on dry roads, let alone wet ones, b) travelling too fast for conditions ought to slow way down because of (a), and c) require professional drivers who understand (a) and (b).
