18-year-old Driver Failed to Yield to a Semi While Merging Onto the Highway
WAGONER COUNTY. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says multiple people are safe after a teen failed to yield while merging onto a turnpike. According to OHP, an 18-year-old driver was traveling Friday night on the Muskogee Turnpike when she “failed to yield to a semi while merging onto the highway.” Officials say the teen’s vehicle hit the semi and then spun out of control, hitting another car traveling near the semi. Everyone involved in the incident is OK. OHP says the teen’s father gave authorities the dash cam video from her car for training purposes. |

Re: 18-year-old Driver Failed to Yield to a Semi While Merging Onto the Highway
She got scared at the moment she saw the guard rail. Even though she could have rode the shoulder, slowed down, and merged back into the lane, after the truck. At least no one was injured or killed. What is it with people always trying to beat the trucks? They win most of the time and if they don’t win, they take your dumbass along with them. |

She might if she survived another episode like that. Seeing the situation in a logical way is almost as important as knowing how to drive better. you see you wont fit, you see the other is not giving in, its not going to take all your body to tap the brakes slowly and let it go.
