15 Kids Fall from 10 Meters High Waterslide
About 15 children fell from a height of 10 meters as a result of the detachment of one of the slides of the water park in Surabaya, Indonesia. The minors were taken to the hospital where some have fractures and dizziness. For the time being they are still under medical observation. |

Re: 15 Kids Fall from 10 Meters High Waterslide
Holy shit, I know this place. I went there like 7-8 years ago and complained about the exact blue tube you see in the video collapsing. You're supposed to go down it in an inflated 2-person boat thing; they let adults go alone if they want. People routinely would flip over because of the excessively hard turns. I flipped on mine and came off into the tube and fucked up my arms/albows and side on the way down because of the uneven tubing section attachment. I was also worried I'd get smashed into by the people behind me because they do not wait and space out riders enough to be safe so I was only a few seconds ahead of whoever was behind me. That's also why so many people probably fell out of the tube in the video because someone got stuck on the uneven section, and they piled up because there's no spacing between riders. I never went on that shit again. It was only a matter of time before this happened. They dont maintain shit there. The Waterbom Park in Bali is much better but still not anywhere near western code. |
