11 People Injured when Porsche Boxter Plows into Them at a Car Show in Boise
At least 11 people were injured last Saturday morning when a Porsche plowed into a crowd of spectators at a Boise, Idaho, car show. Six of the victims were taken to the hospital by an ambulance and five went by private vehicle. Boise Police said the driver of the gray Porsche accelerated rapidly as he was leaving the Cars and Coffee event, lost control and ran into the nearby crowd. Police issued a statement saying the driver is cooperating with their investigation. "You could hear the screaming," a witness said. "There were people's shoes that went flying. There was at least one youngster, less than 10, he was kind of unconscious." "Most people that were hit, it looked like broken legs and that type of thing," he said. "People were rendering aid pretty quickly." He added that a military medic attending the show was able to help attend to victims quickly. According to him, about 400 to 500 cars took part in the show, but only about half stayed after the crash happened. |

Cars and Coffee events are notorious for these one-upmanship wrecks. As well as the spectators near the one entrance/exit filming the people leaving.  |
