1 Dead when Cement Truck Rams into a Semi Transporting Beer
A deadly rollover involving a cement truck and a semi-truck was reported this morning April 14, 2021, at the intersection of Transmountain Road and S. Desert Blvd in west El Paso. The call went out as a mutual aid when different agencies responded to the scene and later upgraded to an extended traffic collision. The cement truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver collided with a semi-truck after unconfirmed reports indicated brake failure while the truck was traveling down Transmountain Road. A load of beer cans and bottles spill onto the highway after the deadly crash. The entire accident was caught on cellphone video by a witness on the highway. |

The cop was right there, 2 seconds after the accident. He must have been very close when it happened.

Re: 1 Dead when Cement Truck Rams into a Semi Transporting Beer
Wonder how long it took the dead driver to realize his brakes were shot. Why he chose to steer towards the intersection instead of maybe trying to get on the side lane on the highway first. Could have possibly helped slow down, even if it meant scraping the side of the cement truck along the highway walls.
