Either all these train related deaths are suicide or the people in India are REALLY fucking stupid. Someone should tell them what those parallel metal rails are being used for. |

Looks like a train "rider" that hangs on with one hand and plays outside a train car as train is racing along. It's a game. He lost.

Re: Youngster Dead After a Train Hit Him on the Side of His Head
Engineers have a saying; we can build anything. Engineers have another saying; no-matter what you build, no matter how much you try, you can't stupid proof a damn thing. No matter how clever or how hard you try, the stupid will figure out how to overcome the safety restrictions you've developed in order to meet their fate. Anyone who thinks a fucking fence will solve this problem just as stupid as victim in the video. |

Re: Youngster Dead After a Train Hit Him on the Side of His Head
The fence would have a statistical effect. Some folks are too lazy to climb over it and would find an alternative strategy to off themselves. Train deaths, down; ???? deaths, up in compensation.

Re: Youngster Dead After a Train Hit Him on the Side of His Head
If there's one thing most people are it's lazy. Looking for the shortcut or the easiest and quickest way to get through whatever it is they're doing. If crossing a train track beats waiting for the train to pass, even if they have to go around the barriers at the crossing, they'll do it. If they can ride a train in a way to beat the crowds, even if they need to hold on for their life, they'll do it. If suicide is easiest to just stand in front of a train, regardless of how much it affects many others, they'll do it. Sure, a fence wouldn't prevent every death but it could help. It won't stop people from riding on the outside of the train, nor will it stop people who are determined to commit suicide but it could help prevent those who are just on the track because there's no barriers to being there, and not seen as 'private property'. Guaranteed you will see a marked difference in death by train between areas that have fences/barriers than those areas that don't. |

Donald Trump is going to build a fence, on either side of the railroad tracks, and he's going to make Pakistan pay for it........or maybe Zimbabwe.
