Young Woman Run Over and Killed by Man Speeding Possible DUI
The incident happened on Sunday 2nd, in Cataguases, Espírito Santo. The fatal accident happened as the victim, named not released, but aged thirty five, had been out walking her dog, when the driver sped straight into her at speed, leaving her dead in the road. He didn't stop. In Juiz de Fora, the police saw the car speeding in the neighbourhood of Lourdes. A stop order was given, but the driver fled and was only reached in Bairro Ladeira. The twenty three year old driver (name not released) was arrested in Juiz de Fora suspected of running over her over and killing her after the later studied CCTV footage. In the vehicle, the sniffer dog found eight packets of cocaine and a cell phone. The driver and the drugs were taken to the police station. Her body was removed and sent for an autopsy and her family notified (her dog was unhurt and found wandering the street nearby.) Thank you pizzahack for the photo of the victim. |

She obviously sees a car coming & it doesn't look like a good situation. Do I jump over in this alley? Do I get between these 2 cars? No, I'll just wait until it gets closer & I'll run down the middle of the street.

Looks like she went to get her dog out of the way when she saw the car coming. When she realized she was in the car's path she panicked and couldn't decide which way to dodge.
